No Wii U because of the install base?

[Update: Yacht Club Games says the listings aren’t confirmed at this time, but they are “still looking into it.” We may very well see it in five months and forget they ever deconfirmed it. It happened before when the developers for Life is Strange said their second episode wasn’t delayed, and it was subsequently delayed.]

According to a trio of Best Buy listings, Shovel Knight is going physical on the PS4, Xbox One, and 3DS. Previously, it launched last year on PC, 3DS, and Wii U, with its eyes set on PS3, PS4, and Vita next week, and Xbox One at some point in the future.

There’s no word on what this physical package entails, if the September release date is just a placeholder, or if it even exists for sure, but we’ve reached out to Yacht Club Games and will update with any pertinent information.

The September timing makes sense though as that would give the developer enough time to add in more features for a “complete” edition alongside of the unknown Xbox One launch.
