Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is now out on PC and consoles worldwide, and there are a fair number of settings to tweak if you’re playing with a keyboard and mouse. While Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 isn’t a competitive shooter, it still heavily relies on your accuracy.
In this guide, I will go through a list of settings that will help run Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 without any unnecessary stutters and lag.
Best Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 graphics settings
Before I deep dive into the settings, here’s a quick rundown of my own system.
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- AMD Radeon 9060XT 16 GB
- 32 GB of DDR4 RAM
While my specifications are closer to the recommended settings, I have focused more on the lower-end devices. If your PC is closer to the minimum requirements, chances are that you’ll need to make additional modifications to run the game smoothly.
- Window Mode: Personal Preference
- Overall Quality: Custom
- Texture Quality: Medium
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Anti-Aliasing Quality: x4
- View Distance Quality: Medium
- Post Process Quality: Medium
- Effects Quality: Low
- Foliage Quality: Low
- Ambient Occlusion: Off
- Screen Space Reflections: On
- Chromatic Aberration: Off
- Motion Blur: Off
- Super Resolution Mode: FSR
- FSR Mode: Either Performance/Balanced
- Framerate Limit Lock: 60 FPS/90 FPS
- VSync: On
- Overall UI Distortion: 0.7
- Scanline Intensity: 1.0
- Scanline Frequency: 1.0
- Signal Noise Intensity: 0.6
- Flicker Intensity: 0.7
- Smudge Intensity: 0.4
So far, the performance has been pretty stable, but some of the changes I made are key. For starters, go with 60 FPS locked if you have an older device. 90 FPS is meant for those who have specifications closer to the recommended. I have opted for VSync since Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is a shooter and having smoother FPS is a priority (especially when there are scenes with plenty of Xenos swarming around you).
