Bandit’s Way hidden treasure chest location in Super Mario RPG

Just bounce off that flower

As one of the opening acts of your adventure, Mario must recover Mallow’s stolen Frog Coin in Super Mario RPG. However, as you explore the paths in the Bandit’s Way area, there’s a hidden chest you could easily miss.

To grab the Bandit’s Way hidden treasure chest, make your way to the second screen. Jump across the yellow floating platforms to make your way towards the next exit. However, before you leave, you’ll see a rotating flower you can bounce off of. Jump on it, and press the B button when Mario is facing right. Mario will bounce off the area’s hidden chest, revealing a valuable Croaka Cola item.

Note that this is the same in both the SNES version of Super Mario RPG and the 2023 remake. The only real difference is that, in the SNES game, the Croaka Cola is called the Kerokero Cola.

That’s the only secret chest in this area. Now get back to your quest!
