Bad Company series isn’t ‘in active development’

But DICE loves it, apparently

Folks seem reasonably excited for Battlefield 4, which is pretty good considering the real reason we play these games, the multiplayer, has yet to be revealed. Then again, it’s Battlefield — we can fill in the blanks by now. Ahead of the showcase next week at E3, any Bad Company fans are welcome to join me in feeling bummed out that the spinoff series hasn’t yet returned.

“Are you ever gonna make Bad Company 3,” wondered Twitter user @SlayVapor to DICE. “We love the Bad Company series, but don’t have it in active development. Battlefield 4 is our main focus for the year,” wrote back the official Battlefield account. You know, at this point, I’d take a download-only release in the vein of Battlefield 1943. Anything, really.
