Anime Origins Tier List – Best Units & Traits

Updated on August 15, 2026: Added best traits for all units.

The best unit in Anime Origins depends on which category we’re talking about with Ground DPS, Hybrid/Hill DPS and supports. I organized the tier list below according to these three categories arranged in three tiers from Meta to sub-Meta to decent alternatives. Here’s my Anime Origins unit tier list and guide.

Anime Origins Unit Tier List

I split the best units in Anime Origins in three categories which are Ground DPS units, units that can deal with fliers and support units for CC/Buffs. In addition to the tier list, check out the individual ranking reasons below. I’ll also list the best traits for each unit.

Best Beginner Units: Itaki/Choto/Rose are good for ground and Ishida/Itsoda for hill as your best beginner DPS units with Ichigo being decent since you can evolve him. That said, you’re mainly going for the Vegeta Mythic since it will carry you in the early and mid-game against flyers as well as stay strong in the late game.

Farm Units: Bluma is the best farm unit with Leorio being a cheaper option and Bon bringing a bit of extra cash with his ability and serving as an off-Farm unit.

Best Traits: Listed below for each unit (Hustler for Farm units).

How to get Tengen/Tango: He’s a Raid unit and overall a Meta Ground DPS.

S-Tier Hybrid/Hill

Unit	Ranking Notes
Madaro (Edo Tensei)	• The only true Hybrid Meta DPS on this list • Tons of nuke damage and also constant pressure with the mark stacks which explode for repeated damage on proc • The best end-game unit due to Sosano damage and also a bit of CC via the stuns Best Trait: Immortal
Bon (Purgatory) Raid Unit	• One of the best support units in the game but also contributes a lot DPS-wise since he’s a Hybrid unit • This means he can output decent damage and help you against flyers while also buffing your Meta DPS units • Incredibly good investment as soon as you can do Raids • Also has Farm potential with his passive to boost your income Best Trait: Stride
Vegita (Super)	• The best beginner and late-game Hill DPS unit all in one • Try to get him ASAP and he will carry you as you farm all game modes • Better DPS than Aneko but Aneko has more support potential Best Trait: Rupture

A/B-Tier Hybrid/Hill

Unit	Ranking Notes
Aneko (Queen)	• Aneko is not a meta Hill DPS unit but she’s still incredibly useful since she can serve as a DPS if you don’t have Vegeta early • Instead, she’s an excellent support DPS due to her stuns and really easy to fit into any team • Plus you really need Hill/Hybrid units in this game due to brutal flying waves later on Best Trait: Stride
Itsoda Legendary	• Itsoda is below Vegeta and Aneko but he still comes in really handy as a Legendary Hill unit for the early and mid game Best Trait: Any that you can afford but don’t invest too much until Vegeta.

S-Tier Ground

Unit	Ranking Notes
	• Insanely versatile DPS unit with some support potential but he still deals Meta damage • He can basically output Meta DPS with his summons while stunning the boss • Requires a bit of time to stack his Restriction Release but it’s worth it Best Trait: Rupture
Cursed Lover (Pure Love)	• Another Meta Ground DPS that’s potentially doing greater numbers than Alucard/Valcrad depending on your team • It all comes down to his copy skill and if you have Meta units to copy which makes Yuta incredibly flexible Best Trait: Immortal or Overseer
Igritto (Commander) World Boss Unit	• Can deal a ton of damage in his frenzy mode • Just note that he requires a bit more of a specific team comp to pull out his Meta potential due to the passive interactions • Tango and Sosuke are much simpler to build around but can have lower potential than Igritto Best Trait: Rupture
Sosuke (Eternal)	• An excellent Ground DPS unit by himself • He also combos really well with Igris/Igritto due to the passive synergy • Best starter Mythic along with Vegeta Best Trait: Stride
Tojei (Sorcerer Killer)	• Incredible sustained Ground DPS unit that can compete with some secrets • That said, the downside is his passive makes him not viable with certain buff supports • You can still run him with great effect with the CC/Stalling supports though Best Trait: Rupture
Tango (Star of Festivals) Raid Unit	• A Meta Ground unit overall that you should get after Ban since Ban is more important for supporting, Hybrid DPS and income Best Trait: Stride

A-Tier Ground

Unit	Ranking Notes
Starku (Primordial)	• Just an overall excellent nuker to bring for specific stages • Other units in this tier and higher deal better sustained damage though • Still, when you need nukes Starku is the one to bring Best Trait: Overseer
Noroto (Linked)	• A decent off-Meta DPS pick that’s better than most A-Tiers and all B-Tiers in terms of numbers • That said Noroto doesn’t particularly combo well with any other Meta unit and has no gimmicks you can exploit Best Trait: Stride
Goki (Super 3)	• Easy to get and evolve so he’s a great beginner DPS unit • Great mobility but also synergizes well with Vegeta for the buff Best Trait: Ascendant
Konpatchi (Unleashed)	• Just a simple-to-run and reliable DPS that’s better than all B-Tiers but doesn’t quite reach S-Tier and has no special combos with other units • Great sustained boss damage Best Trait: Immortal or Overseer

B-Tier Ground

Unit	Ranking Notes
Zeldo (Piety)	• Has decent self buffs but relies on Meliodas for full potential and Meliodas isn’t a top-tier Meta unit so running these two isn’t really an optimal build late-game • The combo is quite decent in the mid-game though but you’re better off using higher-rarity units later on • With Meliodas he’s better than all B-Tiers and some A-Tiers Best Trait: Rupture
Gyutari (Upper Moon)	• Gyutari is just an overall middle-of-the-road unit that you’ll use at first but has poor scaling later on • Not useless but nothing major in terms of DPS Best Trait: Decay
Itsugo (Dangai)	• Not the great DPS levels but is kind of useful early since you can get his base version easily and then evolve him as you go if you have the resources to spare • A decent beginner-friendly unit Best Trait: Ascendant
Yoto (Calamity) BattlePass Unit	• A bit slow to get going but stacks really well as he gets kills • That said, ultimately his numbers aren’t as reliable as the A-Tiers or higher Best Trait: Overseer

S/A-Tier Supports

Unit	Ranking Notes
Goju (Honored One)	• The best crowd control unit in the game • Tons of debuffs and stalling potential for your main DPS units Best Trait: Overseer or Immortal
Bon (Purgatory) Raid Unit	• One of the best support units in the game but also contributes a lot DPS-wise since he’s a Hybrid unit • This means he can output decent damage and help you against flyers while also buffing your Meta DPS units • Incredibly good investment as soon as you can do Raids • Also has Farm potential with his passive to boost your income Best Trait: Stride
Aneko (Queen)	• Aneko is not a meta Hill DPS unit but she’s still incredibly useful since she can serve as a DPS if you don’t have Vegeta early • Instead, she’s an excellent support DPS due to her stuns and really easy to fit into any team • Plus you really need Hill/Hybrid units in this game due to brutal flying waves later on Best Trait: Stride
Shinoru (Butterfly Dance)	• A DPS/Support mix • Her DPS comes from the DoTs and sustained damage that’s not the best • That said her support potential is really great so she comes out being a Meta unit IMO Best Trait: Decay
Mykie (Toman) Infinite Mansion/Tower	• A support buff unit that’s worse than Ban but still decent Best Trait: Overseer
Melio (Assault)	• Decent support/DPS mix with armor shred and very good crowd control • His aura is also what makes him a very useful utility inclusion Best Trait: Immortal or Overseer
Roxi (Mage)	• An okay overall Hill DPS and support mix that’s not for late game but can work in certain game modes for elemental interactions Best Trait: Stride
