Anime Adventures Tier List – Best Units [☀️UPD 21]

Anime Adventures has a massive number of units so I’ll sort through the best ones across three tiers and three sub-categories. The goal is to find the most effective DPS and Support characters to deal with the new Soaring units and various game modes. Here’s my Anime Adventures unit tier list.

Anime Adventures Unit Tier List

Hybrid/Hill Units Are Now More Valuable Than Ground Due to Soaring (Units Order In a Tier Is Arbitary)

Elyssia (Abyssal)

Mythic on Special BannerCan’t hit Soaring but she’s a Meta DPS unit with her summons

Explosion Mage (Archdemon)

Explosion Mage Portal from Summer Hunt ModeYou can stack buffs on her easily to make her wide full AOE nukes reach over 60M damageGoes amazingly well with Phoenix and unique for the range/damage buff

Sky God (Rumble)

From any tier of Sky God PortalMassive base damage and scaling skills that get buffed by Chunni since they’re MagicConstant AOEs and lane nukes

Shinobi (Eternal)

Was powerful before UPD21 and now with Phoenix burn buffs he skyrockets to the top

Fused Hero

Double Unique Vegeto still has one of the highest DPS numbers in the game but he struggles with Soaring units

Illusionist (Transcended)

One of the best DPS units in the game that’s still relevantThe insta kills are still insane valueExpensive and only affordable in longer stages

Captain (God)

Excellent unit to deal with Soaring enemiesMeta Ground damage with his trapsThe Artifact made him really strong

Dark Mage (Fallen Star)

Still one of the best ways to deal with Fliers and now SoarersHybrid Full AOE

Legendary Assassin (Prime)

Top-tier Ground DPS with Max passive and no refunds

Fishi (Obsession)

Summer Banner/Capsules using Summer PearlsThe 35% Max HP damage passive can hit for crazy burst damage and stunsYou don’t get a lot of value from it on weaker enemies that simply die to her DPS

Supreme Being (Sovereign)

An oldie but a goldie even in Update 21

Switchblade (Deception)

Still a meta DPS in UPD21 as before

Spider (Immolation)

Got a massive buff from the introduction of Phoenix and his Burn damage amplification

Violentine (Brutal Angel)

Really easy to max and a strong straterThe nerf doesn’t impact her too much since the 25% portion of her passive remains active

Griffin (Ascension)

Great for Infinite

There are a ton of characters in this game so I’ve highlighted the best units in Anime Adventures by category. I’ve organized the tier list according to three Tiers and subcategories for those tiers which are Hybrid/Hill, Ground and Support. The top tier units are universally good accounting both for DPS and ability to effectively deal with Soarding units. Note that support units in the S-Tier also have great DPS.

Farm Units (Must-Have): Bulby & C.E.O.

Sky God Note: You can get him from any Sky God Portal tier but higher tiers increase the drop chance.

Flying and Soaring Units Update: Any unit can now hit fliers with ground units dealing 50% less damage with no CC effects. Soaring units can only be hit by Hill and Hybrid units placed on Hills. A Hybrid unit cannot hit a Soaring enemy if it’s not placed on a Hill.
