Amazon temporarily suspends 3DS sales (Update)

[Update: Amazon has said that “loose hinges” are to blame for the suspension. Perhaps this isn’t entirely Amazon’s fault after all.]

Amazon.com has temporarily removed the Nintendo 3DS from public sale due to various complaints from customers. Quite what the complaint is happens to be a mystery, but it’s quite clear that the fault is at Amazon’s end.

“While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page,” said the company, “it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it’s described here. We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.”

The 3DS is still available from Amazon.co.uk. That’ll teach Amazon to stop putting rolled up bits of dog poo in all its packages.
