It wouldn’t be a big Final Fantasy release if Final Fantasy XVI didn’t have multiple editions and a plethora of pre-order bonuses and rewards. With so many different options, it can be confusing keeping up with what’s available. To make sure you get rewards you are most interested in, we’ve put together a quick list of all Final Fantasy XVI pre-order bonuses and rewards.

Final Fantasy XVI Pre-order bonuses and rewards based on editions

Final Fantasy XVI is launching with three different editions: Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s. As such, there’s also three edition-specific Final Fantasy XVI pre-order bonuses as well.

  • Braveheart — This weapon DLC is available for all editions as long as you pre-order the game.
  • Cait Sith Charm — This accessory DLC increases the amount of Gil (money) you’ll obtain. It is also available for all editions as long as you pre-order the game.
  • Scholar’s Charm — Here’s where it gets tricky. This accessory DLC boosts your experience gain. However, it is only available when you pre-order the Collector’s Edition of the game, or any digital edition of the game. Unfortunately, if you are picking up the physical Standard or Deluxe edition, you will not get this bonus.

Even though it’s not technically a pre-order bonus, the Collector’s Edition also includes an exclusive Blood Sword weapon DLC. This edition of the game is extremely limited, so you may have trouble tracking this down if you didn’t pre-order it.

Final Fantasy XVI Pre-order bonuses and rewards based on retailer

Depending on which retailer you pre-order Final Fantasy XVI from, you can also receive some exclusive pre-order rewards. Most of these rewards are actually physical items as opposed to in-game DLC. These are all of the retailer pre-order bonuses we are aware of:

  • Square Enix Store — The Realms of Valisthea Wall Banners. These are 6″ cloth banners that represent each nation in the game.
  • Best BuyFinal Fantasy XVI Steelbook. This is a separate steelbook than the one that comes with the physical Deluxe Edition of the game. It features a close-up of Clive’s face and the roman numeral XVI.
  • GameStop — The Realms of Valisthea patches. These are similar to the banners from the Square Enix Store, but instead are small patches as opposed to wall banners.
  • Target — $10 Target gift card. Pretty self-explanatory here. You will get a $10 Target gift card for pre-ordering the game there.
  • PlayStation Store — Scholar’s Spectacles accessory DLC. This is the only retailer exclusive digital reward. It’s the same accessory DLC that comes with the Collector’s Edition of the game.
