Alan Wake hits two million sales, has legs as a series

Remedy’s Alan Wake has topped two million sales on Xbox 360 and PC, becoming enough of a success to secure its future as a series.

“We’ve moved over two million copies — that’s including PC,” Franchise development head Oskari Häkkinen told CVG. “So after a slow start it’s turning into something really positive. It’s definitely had legs. I think narrative experiences just have a tendency for that.”

This is pretty great news. I loved Alan Wake, but worried the series would go nowhere beyond the first game’s DLC. It also further makes Microsoft look stupid for claiming Alan Wake wouldn’t work on PC, which is something I’ll always celebrate.
