A few gory minutes from Doom’s multiplayer

Taken from the closed alpha

Did he… did he just punch another player’s head off?

Ahead of Doom‘s spring 2016 launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, here’s some multiplayer footage captured from the closed alpha scheduled to go public this weekend. As far as content goes, the alpha build is limited, but this video gives a general idea of how combat will flow.

The player-controlled Revenant is shown right near the end of the clip. (Until someone bashes his face in, too.) I have a real soft spot for multiplayer games that pit monsters against humans.

If you’re concerned about those damage pop-ups, my guess is that we’ll be able to disable them.
