Altered Beast 3D coming to the Japanese eShop

How is the Xbox One going to sell in Japan? If the new console’s version of Kinect is anything like the current version of the peripheral, then probably not too good. Not to sound racist, but Japanese living rooms aren’t known for their size, and today’s Kinect doesn’t work too well small living rooms. Having Kinect required to use the console at all is one of the worst ideas I’ve heard in a while.

So if the Xbone isn’t poised to conquer the East any time soon, what the heck is going to conquer? How about Altered Beast 3D! The arcade classic is poised to hit the 3DS eshop in Japan soon, complete with optional touch screen controls and stereoscopic 3D. It joins Urban Champion as one of the slowest paced, monotonous, simplistic, least marketable games ever to be re-released in 3D, but it’ll still likely to move more units in Japan than that poor old Xbone. The game is set for release on May 29th for 600 yen, joining other Sega 3DS eShop remakes Space Harrier, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Super Hang-On

Xbone.
