Risen 2: Dark Waters rising to consoles, PC

Deep Silver has officially revealed Risen 2: Dark Waters today, the Piranha Bytes-developed sequel to its 2007 third-person role-playing game.

The title is said to be set “several years after” the conclusion of the original, where we find terrifying monsters crawling out of the sea, making sea travel rather unpleasant. Players take up arms as a member of the Inquisition, on a quest to stop the water threats once and for all.

Deep Silver is kicking up the hype a notch by boldly stating that Risen 2 “will be set in the most immersive RPG game world so far.” Take that all you other most immersive RPG game worlds.

Risen 2
is slated for PC and consoles (although no specifics were mentioned), and we should have more details for you in the coming weeks.
