Venetica finally coming to North America in January

It’s highly likely that you don’t know what the buggering bum we’re talking about here, so let’s remind you. Venetica is a German roleplaying game that was announced for the Xbox 360 way back in 2008. I was really eager to play the game, and caught a chance glimpse of it at E3 in 2009, but that was it.

The game released in Europe ten thousand years ago with no word on a North American release date. Now it’s finally been revealed that a publisher has picked up the game. Atari will be bringing Venetica to North America on January 11, 2011. It will launch on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Venetica casts you as Scarlett, the daughter of death. She can cross over to the realm of the dead, and will need to do so as she hacks and slashes her way around a vast RPG world. The game hasn’t received rave reviews in Europe, but the story is apparently very good. In any case, I can’t wait to finally try it out.

Anybody else even halfway interested?
