Fan-made Amigo figure to celebrate Dreamcast’s US release

Recommended Videos

Twelve years ago today, the Sega Dreamcast was released here the States. That one just slipped right by us! Sure, it’s not the Dreamcast’s true birthday — that would be November 27 — but at least we should have cut up some cake or something.

Custom toy maker Albert Art, who has been showcased on several occasions over at our sister site Tomopop, has thankfully commemorated this momentous event by crafting a tiny Amigo from cult classic Samba de Amigo. Using a MAD blank canvas figure as a base, Albert has lovingly recreated our simian compadre down to the tiniest detail and topped it off with a comically oversized sombrero!

Head on over to his blog to check out more glamor shots, and feel free to profess your undying love for Sega’s great white martyr in the comments below.
