Modern Warfare 3 officially coming to the Wii

During an investor call yesterday, Activision Blizzard added confirmation to recent rumours that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be making an appearance on the Wii this fall. This should be a pleasant surprise for the seven people that bought the previous Wii ports of the various Call of Duty titles on the console. Jokes!

No details as of yet on who’s porting the game, though my money’s on Treyarch considering their history with Acti-Blizzard, previously porting Black Ops, World at War and Modern Warfare to the Wii.

In any case we’ve hit Activision up for more details on who’s handling the port and what differences we can expect between the Wii and other versions. You know, other than the motion control stuff. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 arrives on November 8 on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
