The Red Star hits PSN

Recommended Videos

Much time on our flagship podcast, Podtoid, has been devoted to a weird man love for The Red Star, a bananas side-scrolling schmup set in a dystopian universe. It was released in 2007 for the PS2, but as many of our listeners know, it has launched as a PSP downloadable. Earlier last afternoon XS Games announced its arrival on PSN, and made time to tease that an iPhone version is slated to hit later this year.

So now, for the price of $14.99, you can check out the game Aaron Linde has been screaming about on Twitter and play the port that Topher Cantler has been calmly excited about. Because of how weird the game is we suggest that you check out the game’s Web site, if only for the pretty pictures and full story.
