’90s PC gamers, take a look at ORION: Prelude

Recommended Videos

Want to know how to make me care about your sci-fi first-person shooter? Tell me that it has dinosaurs and jetpacks in it — and make sure you aren’t lying. That’s the basic selling point of ORION: Prelude, an upcoming Steam, PlayStation Network, and Xbox LIVE Arcade game by indie dev Spiral Game Studios.

Actually, there was one more. This game “pays homage to other game classics such as: Unreal Tournament, Quake CTF, and Tribes.” It’s also clearly quite the looker, too. Here’s an HD version of the same video, if you’d rather, uh, be able to actually make out details. Yeah.

Admittedly, I was a little worried that they might be overly focused on making ORION: Prelude look gorgeous, but I’ve more or less only heard good things about it so far. This is almost too good to be true.
