“The Homeworld community has waited actual decades for this launch. We’re thrilled that their wait will finally be rewarded this March as players will be able to command the Mothership and continue their adventures. We’re grateful to BBI for their incredible work, and to the players for communicating with us and ultimately trusting us with Homeworld’s legacy. Hopefully they feel that we’ve done it proper justice.”

Three special editions

Also revealed were four separate editions that will be available. First is the Standard Edition which comes with the base game for $59.99, as well as the Deluxe Edition which includes the base game and the Year One Pass for $79.99.

Those interested in playing early can pick up the Fleet Command Edition which grants access to the game 72 hours early as well as the Deluxe Edition of the game and some digital goodies including a soundtrack, ship decals, engine trail color, and more. Finally, those interested in physical collector items can go for the Collector’s Edition which includes everything from the Fleet Command Edition as well as a WW2-Inspired Spotted Deck, a Homeworld 3 Logo Keychain, a Lithograph, and a true-to-scale Homeworld 3 ship.

I usually can’t justify the price on physical collector’s editions, but I have to admit, that ship looks pretty nifty.

Homeworld 3 releases on PC on March 8.
