The media thumped Guerilla’s Shellshock: Nam ’67 for its moronic A.I., garbage controls and frustratingly narrow-minded gameplay. Understanding this, Rebellion Developments has set out to make a successful sequel. But, how does one garner praise in the new shooter climate?
Add zombies, of course.
Sometimes, it’s that easy. Shellshock 2: Blood Trails is more than a mere history game – it combines the brutal Vietnamese conflict with some sort of zombie virus. Details about the game are sketchy and these “new” screenshots don’t aid the information plight. The majority of these are captures of the announcement trailer from a few months ago.
If anything, players can now look forward to killing zombies in Cambodia. These infected denizens are probably different than the ones players have tackled in World War II, in a modern city or will fight in Africa later this year.
