Left 4 Dead comes to PS3, thanks to EA

Let’s recap. First, the survival horror zombie hotness known as Left 4 Dead was “confirmed” to be an Xbox 360/PC exclusive. This hit about the same time as the rumor that it was actually coming to the PS3, though this was shot down by Valve’s Doug Lombardi who says “There is no PS3 version of Left 4 Dead announced, nor in development. Not sure how that got started.”

Then in May, it all seemed pretty final when Valve said that they are “not PS3 developers.” They may not be, but EA is.

According to a little blurb in the Official PlayStation Magazine, Left 4 Dead is coming to the PS3, with Electronic Arts taking on the development duties. See, we just needed someone to think outside the box!

PS3-only owners, what do you say? Thank the nice developer!

[Thanks, Action Bastard]
