Cartoon Network hero Samurai Jack is readying his blade for his brand new video game adventure. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time will launch on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch August 21.

Adult Swim Games recently released a brand new trailer, (as part of IGN’s ongoing “Summer of Gaming” event), which sees the stoic superhero battling his way through various locale including a medieval kingdom, a monster-filled cemetery, a frosty forest and a futuristic city. The game promises legendary characters and iconic moments pulled straight from the hit TV series, as well as a variety of villains to defeat and weapon skills to master.

An epilogue of sorts to the original show, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time reunites original characters and cast members including Phil LaMarr as the legendary hero, Greg Baldwin as his taunting nemesis Aku, and Tara Strong as the former “Daughter of Aku” and Jack’s one true love, Ashi. Will the game’s reality-bending plotline alter the fates of these characters? Only time will tell.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time will launch on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch August 21.
