Assassin’s Creed Valhalla officially confirmed, reveal trailer coming tomorrow

At long last

After a marathon stream that took eight hours or so, artist BossLogic is done creating the reveal art for the new Assassin’s Creed game. All those rumors that have persisted for more than a year turned out to be true: The next Assassin’s Creed game is Viking-themed.

We knew all of that early into the stream, and told you as much this morning. However, the finalized art comes with some new information. Ubisoft has confirmed that the official title will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and a cinematic reveal trailer will go live tomorrow morning at 8am Pacific.

The final touches on BossLogic’s art was the signature Assassin logo across the axe which suggests that this braided warrior is Valhalla‘s protagonist. Also of note, they aren’t missing any fingers where a hidden blade would traditionally be kept, despite the Vikings existing much later than the formation of the Assassin Brotherhood. We’ll have to see how the story approaches that.

Anyway, the guessing game is finally over, hard confirmation that Assassin’s Creed is tackling the Norse mythology next. Now we play the waiting game, though. Only 18 hours until we get that reveal trailer — and hopefully find out what platforms this bad boy’s coming to.
