Rosalina’s quest for world domination continues as her buddy Luma enters Mario Tennis Aces

Yep, Luma is a character

Rosalina is one of my favorite Mario series characters (I was thrilled to find out that she was an unlockable in Super Mario 3D World), but a lot of people don’t like that she’s been hogging the spotlight. Well, too bad, because now her fame is even rubbing off on Luma, who is entering the fray in Mario Tennis Aces as a new playable character. Given that “Luma” is the denotation of the entire species, their leader Lubba sure doesn’t get any love.

Yep, as part of Mario Tennis Aces‘ free DLC run, you can play Luma in tournament mode online from January 1 through February 1. After that everyone can play as the little star, and you can start planning your tactics now with the gameplay trailer below. Pauline and Boom Boom are the other parts of this latest DLC drop. Koopa Troopa, Blooper, Koopa Paratroopa, Shy Guy, Petey Piranha, Diddy Kong and Birdo are already in as add-ons.

Low key Nintendo has been killing it with free DLC just between this and Kirby Star Allies, not to mention other projects.
