Watch this astounding Monster Hunter pro take down Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth solo

In a mind-melting Monster Hunter: World run posted to YouTube this week, a player named miralis took on Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth without any assistance and they miraculously lived to tell the tale.

I’ll never grow tired of seeing people conquer high-end quests and raids all on their own.

For anyone who doesn’t keep up with Monster Hunter or perhaps hasn’t taken a crack at Kulve Taroth yet, it’s worth emphasizing that the gold-plated beast is meant to be faced by up to 16 players (four separate groups of four hunters) working together to contribute overall damage and earn rewards.

The Kulve Taroth siege incorporates a few extra mechanics for instance, you’re intended to raise a “pursuit level” to prevent the monster from retreating and it’s no cakewalk, even with a skilled group. Then there’s the Arch-Tempered version, which hits way harder and is just generally more pissed off.

Kulve Taroth in Monster Hunter: World

With that basic setup out of the way, please marvel at this harrowing 18-minute Pursuit Level 1 solo run. It’s especially worth a watch for Great Sword players. You’re gonna be in awe of the consistency.

I can’t even begin to wrap my head around everything that needed to go right for miralis’ attempt against Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth, to say nothing of their skill and planning. This is one of those double-take-worthy accomplishments that’ll leave you reconsidering what’s possible in the game.
