Square Enix has released an epic new trailer for their long, long long-awaited RPG sequel Kingdom Hearts III; an extended version of the Tokyo Game Show trailer teased last week.

The new hype-reel, which runs just under four-minutes, is packed full of exciting content to get fans’ tongues wagging, as Sora, Donald, Goofy and their ever-expanding army of pals explore new worlds and battle fantastical creatures. The focus in this particular preview is San Fransokyo, the hi-tech setting of 2014’s Big Hero 6.

Baymax, Hiro, Go Go Tamago and their posse will fight alongside Sora to clear the shadows out of the metropolis. Also glimpsed are ring-running challenges not unlike Superman 64, but don’t let that put you off. The fully-subtitled trailer then continues with the all-star appearances, including Frozen’s Anna, Tangled’s Rapunzel and Pirates’ Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow. What a cast.

Filled with bafflingly complex drama and stunning visuals, the new trailer will no doubt make many a KH fan’s morning. It’s been absolutely years since that original announcement, but the wait is almost over, as Kingdom Hearts III launches January 29, 2019 on PS4 and Xbox One.
