The Tarforge, located at the Marrow Keep, plays a pivotal role in making your Mortal Shell 2 journey easy. Once unlocked, the machine allows you to get different upgrades that improve your builds and weapons.
However, this is easier said than done since you have to unlock different upgrades for the Tarforge with suitable materials. Once done, you can then get the Tarforge upgrades to unlock further advancements.

All Tarforge upgrade locations in Mortal Shell 2
Some Tarforge upgrade materials are easier to find, while some of them can be harder to locate. I have mentioned the location of all materials and how you can find them.
Muradean Actuator

Finding this item is easy since it’s part of the tutorial area. You can find it while cleansing the very first beacon, but it’s also possible to miss it. If you didn’t obtain it during your initial run, collect at least seven Ova.
You can then unlock Mether’s Breath and use any beacon to access Village Outskirts. I collected it during my first run, which makes things simpler.
Obsidian Lathe

Head to the Martyr’s Tomb dungeon (the nearest beacon is Widow’s Overlook). Go past the location where you encounter the Great Arbiter of Flash mini boss. Head inside the tomb and reach the last room. You’ll find a chest protected by priests. Kill the priests and open the chest to find the Obsidian Lathe.
Etching Needles

Head to the corrupted gate by the Mushroom Village beacon. You’ll find the Tarblighted Shepherd at this location (you can avoid this fight). Squeeze through the fence next to him and take the wooden bridge to reach Ruk. The chest under him will provide you with Etching Needles.
Foundry Stone

Head to the Outskirts of Mammon beacon and go south, that leads down to the battlefield. You’ll find several enemies, but you can dodge them if you like. Continue until you find the fortifications on the wall, and you’ll spot a chest next to it. This chest will provide you with the Foundry Stone.
Endless Core
To get Endless Core, you have to collect enough Ova until you reach the final ending. Defeat the initial bosses to trigger the fight against Zmei, the dragon. You’ll unlock the Hidden Knave beacon, and cleansing it will help you find a chest from where you get the Endless Core.
