Sea of Thieves is in beta right now (and it just got extended a few days) and that means all sorts of weird things can happen while developer Rare works out the kinks. For a lot of people, that means boring and frustrating stuff like the game not launching or the quest-giver not selling new voyages.

For luckier scallywags, it means your ship catapulting straight up into the sky as the physics freak out. Cannons can’t aim that high, so you’re safe up there as long as you never come down.
