Ah Kingdom Hearts III, the game that may never come. Well, now that Square Enix has showed us so many worlds it’s probably coming at some point, just not anytime soon. Wait, they’re saying they’re still on track for 2018 as of this week? Okay, maybe it’s sooner than we think.

Square Enix just released their financial results in their year ending in March 31, 2018, and they seem pretty happy with the Final Fantasy series, highlighting them as the top three of five games released in the period between April 2017 and April 2018 (XII: Zodiac Age, Dissidia NT, and XV).

They’re also looking to the future, noting planned release like Octopath Traveler on July 13, 2018, Shadow of the Tomb Raider on September 14, 2018, and…Kingdom Hearts III in “2018.” Hey, it’s a window! And as of today they’re still on track for making the cutoff for this year. We’ll likely find out more at E3, possibly the game’s release date, during their pre-recorded stream.
