FIFA 18 returns to the top of the UK Charts

Call of Duty usurped after two month streak

Activision’s extended run in the number one spot of the UK Charts came to an end this week, as Electronic Arts’ FIFA 18 successfully regained the top spot, knocking off Call of Duty: WWII, which held the coveted position since early November.

Not only that, but the Top Five, which was cemented over the festive season, has also been raided by Rockstar’ crime-opera Grand Theft Auto V, with the 2013 title coming in third place. Top Ten re-entries were made by battleroyale pioneer PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, The Sims 4 and Forza Motorsport 7, while Switch titles Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild, still simmer in the latter half of the big leagues.

Elsewhere in the charts, Most games are just jockeying for position, slipping or climbing just a few spots, as the dust settles on the pre-and-post Christmas mayhem. The charts will likely perform this way until the end of the month, which sees the launch of several titles, such as Monster Hunter: World, Lost Sphear and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
