Kenji Eno’s ‘D’ is now on GOG

This is unexpected

Anyone remember D? It debuted on the 3DO in 1995 (feel old yet?), before being ported to the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and DOS (PC for you young folk). Now, it’s back, in GOG form!

The “out there” survival horror game has indeed been released on PC for $5.99, DRM-Free as usual, and is compatible with XP, Vista, Windows 7-10, Mac OSX 10.9+, and Linux systems. Described as a classic, D was eventually succeeded by D2, and a spiritual follow-up, Enemy Zero, which was set in space. If you have the stomach for dated games, I suggest giving the original a try — maybe we’ll get the rest at some point.

Memories of this game have survival horror experiences rushing back into my head, like Blue Stinger, Overblood, and Illbleed. The ’90s and early 2000s were a great, experimental time for the genre!
