Battleborn’s ‘motion comic’ prequel series is complete

Goodbye Penarch

Battleborn is set on a cool premise: there is one star left in the universe and all spacefaring species have converged on it as the last place where life can be sustained. I had previously assumed it was meant to take place in the ultra-distant future when the last of the stars is fizzling out naturally. However, this short prequel series shows there is more at play in the dying universe.

The “motion comic” introduces a handful of the 25 playable characters while giving a brief look at the second-to-last star in the universe, Penarch. It has been running since March, with the first episode introducing villain Rendiel and the second showing humans Oscar Mike and Montana, but the third and final episode released just a few days ago, capping out the series showing how the Jennerit joined forces with the other heroes. All three videos are below.
