Splatoon Raiders is an awesome Nintendo Switch 2 looter shooter set in the colorful, squid-filled universe that was built on multiplayer battles.
Similar to games like Borderlands or Destiny, Splatoon Raiders is all about fighting PvE enemies, getting weapons and gear, and upgrading your character so you can fight harder foes. An important part of every raid is choosing which Ink Tank and Gadgets to use on your journey.
Starting out, you can equip two Gadgets from whatever Tank you have equipped. But the more you use a Tank, the more it levels up as you acquire Power Eggs. Eventually, you can power up the Tanks to earn new abilities, and when they’re fully ranked up, you can equip three Gadgets on them for maximum splatting.
Here’s the full list of all of the Gadgets in Splatoon Raiders along with their corresponding tanks, all of which you can unlock by progressing through the story and purchasing upgrades as they become available.

Speed Tank Gadgets
- Blast Boot
- “Great for a quick leap, this stylish footwear item also creates an explosion when you land.”
- Dash Bomb
- “Dash with explosive force. Choose a direction with left analog stick and blast away!”
- Booyarang
- “Hurl it like a boomerang (emphasis on “boom”), and enjoy its graceful, damaging arc.”
- Jump Bomb
- “Jump with explosive force. Choose a direction with left analog stick and blast away!”
- Flywire
- “Extend a line and zip to where it attaches. Sticks to inkable ground, inkable walls, and Salmonids.”
Power Tank Gadgets
- Splatchet
- “Rush forward and attack in a wide, slashing arc. Strikes many things at once.”
- Spinwheel
- “Sends Salmonids flying as it moves forward. Hold the button to lock on to and chase Boss Salmonids.”
- Splatellites
- “Orbits eight discs around you that ink the ground. Deals damage to enemies that get close.”
- Meteor Mitt
- “You’ve never thrown down the gauntlet like this before. Bigger booms from bigger heights.”
- Shellacker
- “Shoots exploding ink. The longer you hold the button to charge up, the more powerful the explosion.”
Tactical Tank Gadgets
- Shot Pot
- “Your turret buddy automatically fires at nearby crates and Salmonids.”
- Hi-Fiver
- “Shoots five simultaneous lines of ink that bounce off terrain. The static lines damage Salmonids.”
- Bombloons
- “Explodes after being attacked by a weapon. The more you link together, the bigger the explosion.”
- Tether Wail
- “Connects you to a laser. Extend it long enough, and it will get thicker and deal more damage.”
- Torqscrew
- “Deployed on the ground or walls, this gadget creates a vortex. Its blades send Salmonids flying.”
Best Gadgets in Splatoon Raiders
There’s really no “bad” Gadgets to use in Splatoon Raiders, but my endgame build included:
- Ultra Tactical Tank (fully upgraded)
- Bombloons
- Meteor Mitt
- Shot Pot
A fully upgraded Shot Pot with a ton of good Parts equipped to it is awesome because you can simply set it down and let it handle quite a few Salmonids on its own. I like to use Bombloons as traps as Salmonids spawn, or as a last-minute escape if they get too close.
Meteor Mitt is essential for when you’re getting swarmed since it gives you some invincibility as you’re in the air, and it also does massive damage as you slam it down to the ground.
I also really enjoyed using Flywire and Jump Bomb for the Speed Tank, as it’s really handy to get out of dodge when you become overwhelmed by Salmonids, or if you want to traverse an area quickly. In the end, however, it’s up to you and how you’d like to have fun in the game, so be sure to use the practice range at home base to try stuff out.
