Destiny’s matchmaking is getting overhauled this week

During Iron Banner

Destiny is getting a much needed overhaul with its matchmaking process, as it pertains to the PVP element of the game — the Crucible.

According to a post from Bungie, “more emphasis” will be placed on connection quality, which will in turn reduce the amount of lag you typically experience in PVP. Apparently there will be “some consideration” in terms of matching you with other players, as connection speed takes precedent.

The change will happen tomorrow at 10AM PT, and before that, Iron Banner (set to go live today at 10AM PT), will function with the old system. So if you want the new hotness, play tomorrow.
