Bungie’s Holiday gift for Destiny players was…a random legendary weapon

Well, they told you it would be legendary

Before the end of 2014, Bungie tweeted out that players would obtain a “small, but legendary” gift for their Destiny accounts. Most people presumed that it would be a Santa hat consumable of some sort, like the Halloween items. The gifts have started to roll out, and they happen to be…a legendary weapon — one gift per account.

I don’t think anyone expected anything more, but there you go! I assume that it wasn’t given in Engram form as it could have become an Exotic. I obtained a 331 Solar Sniper, and promptly broke it down. Thanks for the Energy, Bungie!
