The Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Wolf Link amiibo works in Super Mario Maker

Another 8-bit costume

Recommended Videos

A friend gave me the bright idea of trying to use the Wolf Link amiibo (from my recently acquired copy of Twilight Princess HD) in Super Mario Maker, and wouldn’t you know, it worked! Apparently the figure unlocks an 8-bit Midna and Link costume, as one would expect.

Curiously though, the description text seems to be a placeholder, as it’s written entirely in Japanese. Nintendo probably wasn’t counting on people trying it this early, but now that the cat is out of the bag, and with the frequency at which Mario Maker gets updates, we can expect it to be fixed when the game actually launches.
