Sonic and friends save a real life cat in this Sonic Boom commercial

’90s commercials, go!

Although I know it’s not cool to like Sonic in just about every context, this new commercial for Sonic Boom is pretty cute. It basically involves Sonic and his crew rescuing a cat in real life in over-the-top fashion, which reminds me of the gloriously cheesy ’90s commercials I grew up with.

I’m half-expecting Crash Bandicoot to jump out and say “booyah grandma!” at any point.
