With Black Ops III only a week out, we got to thinking about the series at large.

The first installment I played was Call of Duty 2, but the first one I loved was Modern Warfare. I’m hardly alone. Over the past decade, much has changed for the franchise. The founders of Infinity Ward are no longer with the company. New studios have entered the picture. The storylines now look to the future instead of at our past. Hell, there are even zombies.
