Dark Souls 2 ships 1.2 million in its first three weeks

Profits for FY still down, though.

From Software’s ball buster Dark Souls 2 managed to ship 1.2 million copies in the west in its first three weeks. This period helped the very tail end of Namco Bandai’s financial year, but it somehow managed to their best-performing game, beating out other leaders like God Eater 2 and Dragon Ball Z Battle of the Z. Note that the 1.2 million is just the sales for United States and Europe, and that Japan is not included in the figure.

Not bad!

Profits are down for the company overall, and it seems like their games division (Namco Bandai is huge with its arcade, toys/hobby, music, and movie divisions) was the only thing that did well for them last year.
