The International 5, Dota 2‘s largest tournament of all time, kicks off this Monday with two matches. With a prize pool of $17.8 million dollars on the line, TI5 will no doubt offer the highest level of eSports entertainment. With all the money it has made Valve, you can be sure that they will spare no expense in making this event the complete package.

The six-day tournament is taking place in Seattle. Many teams were invited, but up until this week it had not been decided which teams would take up the wild card slots and have their shot at the $6 million dollar first prize.

The first two matches will be broadcast on August 3, with LGD vs Empire at 8:00 p.m. CST, and CDEC vs C9 at 11:00 p.m. CST. The tournament has 16 teams facing off spread between an upper and lower bracket, with placements determined by group stage play.

The event will conclude on August 8, with the winners of the upper bracket and the lower bracket facing off. We will be bringing updates as these matches play out.
