Classic vehicular carnage

[Mash Tactics airs Monday through Friday at 4p.m. Pacific on Dtoid.TV. Watch Rick ‘King Foom’ Olson play a variety of games, each day with its own theme. With a heavy focus on community and viewer interaction, you can be as much a part of the show as anything else.]

Last week on the show, I played both Next Car Game, and BeamNG.drive in an attempt to show off each of the games’ jaw-dropping physics and destruction. However, as the night went on, the discussion turned to demolition racing games of yesteryear that a lot of us used to play and love. So tonight on Mash Tactics, I decided to take a trip back to the past, and showcase two of my personal favorites, FlatOut 2, and Burnout Revenge.

While some games have come close, to me, nothing beats the perfection that was crash-mode in Burnout Revenge, or the silly joy that came from all of the mini-games involving flinging your poor ragdoll driver out of the windshield in FlatOut 2, and I can’t wait to take these two classic games for a spin this evening. Be sure to tune in tonight, and watch all of the over the top, chotic, car crunching action that you can handle, only at Dtoid.TV!
