It’s funny how the Needler is sort of iconic with respect to the Halo series. Back in the days of the original Halo, it was almost exclusively used as a way to humiliate an opponent, since it was typically so easy to avoid being hurt by it. Despite the expanded fiction’s attempts to make the weapon seem imposing and destructive, it’s just difficult to make slow-moving, glowing pink crystals intimidating.
