The Sims 3: Dragon Valley lets you play with baby dragons

It’s like The Sims Medieval, but not

The Sims 3: Dragon Valley is a new medieval-themed world available from The Sims 3 Store. A family has moved into town and they brought some baby dragons with them. There is a story between two quarreling families trying to control the town, and it comes off as some cheap Game of Thrones clone. Does anyone honestly play the Sims for the narrative that is built into the game? I’ve always thought it was about making my own story, but I guess I was wrong.

At first, I was a little confused about this announcement — it’s a medieval world for The Sims 3, and I thought this had already been done. But then I remembered that The Sims Medieval is a standalone game, and that this is $25 DLC with similar content for a game that is almost the same thing. I’ve already played The Sims Medieval, so I don’t really see a need to check this out, but that’s how I pretty much feel about all the new content for The Sims 3 at this point.

The Sims series is starting to become like Battlestar Galactica, where “all of this has happened before, and will happen again.”
