Word has it that folks who watch Sony’s E3 2014 press conference at a participating movie theater will be treated to Battlefield Hardline beta access on PS4.

Some people who RSVP’d to the event have received emails welcoming them to the beta as thanks for attending. Although these emails do not currently contain working links to join the Hardline beta — they redirect to the standard PlayStation site — it is said to feature “two new game modes on the High Tension map.” We’ve seen footage, so it’s only a matter of time.

This should be playable on other systems — PC at the very least — but I’d wager Xbox One as well.
