Yes, please: Awesomenauts is getting another map

And two more Awesomenauts as designed by the community

As much as I genuinely like playing as the post-release characters in Awesomenauts, what I’ve been waiting for more than anything is another map. That day isn’t here quite yet, but it is happening. Ronimo Games is adding a map which takes place on Leon’s homeworld. It’ll be playable at PAX East at the Indie Megabooth and is said to be stealth-oriented, with an orb at its center that grants temporary invisibility.

In preparation for an upcoming patch, the team has put together new skins for Coco Nebulon and Raelynn, both of which look great. “Coco McFly” is exactly what it sounds like. I’m sure we’ll be seeing that get some use online.

What’s more, two new Awesomenauts are being designed in collaboration with the community. A two-stage contest on Facebook has folks coming up with the gameplay design and also the art itself. The winners will eventually have their ideas represented in the game itself.
