While it’s too early to say if all of Crysis 3 will provide what fans are looking for, this new video shows promise of a step in the right direction with a less confined play area. This edited footage shows a mostly cohesive run through a section of the game.

Yes, it looks visually impressive, as one would expect from Crytek — especially the attached screenshots — but will it be worth experiencing? Again, I’m not sure. While the bow should be a good deal of fun to wield, much of the other gunplay shown off here seems to be unspectacular. There’s time yet, so we’ll have to keep an (at least partially) open mind.
