Yager adds free co-op mode to Spec Ops: The Line

It was always the narrative of Spec Ops: The Line that seemed most intriguing, though admittedly even that wasn’t convincing enough for me — not at $59.99, anyway. Even still, it’s admirable of developer Yager to put out a cooperative multiplayer mode for free across all versions of the game.

Playable with a single friend, the new co-op mode includes four objective-based missions that span different environments and characters. In addition to worrying about the obligatory waves of enemies that will come your way, there’s also sandstorms to watch out for. Y’know, Dubai and all.

For those of you who do own Spec Ops: The Line, is this stuff worth booting up your copy to try out?
