Epic Games buys Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly

Though Epic Games acquired a majority share of Painkiller and Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly all the way back in 2007, they only now got around to buying the company fully.

This comes alongside the news that three top members of People Can Fly — creative director Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski, and Michal Kosieradzki — have left the studio. Speaking to Polygon, Epic VP Mark Rein described their departure as amiable. “We will be helping (Chmielarz) with some future announcements,” he explained. “Our paths will be crossing again.”

Currently, Epic and People Can Fly are working on Gears of War: Judgment. I’m curious to see what project this team will be put on next. Bulletstorm 2, eh? No? Okay.
