The Merc with a Mouth gets his own game, first trailer

Well, it’s finally happening, guys. Deadpool will star in his very own videogame, called Deadpool: The Game. High Moon Studios (the team behind Transformers: Fall of Cybertron) will be handling the development duties, with Activision set to publish the game.

Nolan North will voice Deadpool, which is an appropriate choice because he’s done the voice for Deadpool in all his appearances ever since Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. It just seems a bit strange because he’s doing his normal Nathan Drake-esque voice when he talks. Still sounds great all the same, though.

Now, the trailer itself was absolutely perfect. High Moon definitely nailed the humor and fourth wall breaking that Deadpool is known for. The trailer alone was full of so many unforgettable quotes. My personal favorite has to be, “Now let’s be honest, I’m not the only one with a little bit of sh*t in their pants right now, am I?” No Deadpool, you’re not.

So, we know they’ve got the character down, now it’s just a matter of if the gameplay will be any good. From what I could tell of the small bits in the trailer (which shows Deadpool riding and punching a guy in the face while they fly towards Earth, among much more), it’s looking like the whole game is shaping up quite nicely. What do you guys think?
