E3 2011 was one of more memorable E3 for many of us at Destructoid thanks solely to Sega’s Sonic Boom event. Seriously, just watch the above video to see the pure insanity of the entire night’s events.

Sonic Boom is taking place once again during Comic-Con on Friday, July 13, and will feature musical performances by Crush 40, Alex and JP Makhlouf from Cash Cash, Takashi Iizuka from Sonic Team, and Steve Lycett from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Tickets are $20 to get in, and that includes swag treats like T-shirts, the amazing Sonic hat, plus food and drinks.

Additionally, Sega is going to have Aliens: Colonial Marines and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed playable at the show. Plus, acclaimed concept designer and visual futurist, Syd Mead, will be signing limited prints of his concept art of the USS Sulaco featured in the movies Aliens and the upcoming game.
