Tons of GTA V info revealed by Rockstar

Whether you’re a fan of GTA or not, I think we can all agree that it’s a pretty big deal in the mass market. In their latest efforts to shed a bit more light on the latest entry, Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar has provided a new Asked & Answered article, which sheds a bit more light on the “three protagonist” setup.

It appears as if you’ll be able to switch between each protagonist in real-time as long as you’re not in a mission, to check up on them as they live their daily lives. Rockstar notes that you could randomly pick up on Michael while he’s in the middle of yelling at his family, or find Trevor on the run. Missions will feature any combination of the three characters, including solo or team missions.

It was also revealed that the Xbox 360 version will ship on two discs, with Disc 1 serving as a one-time mandatory install. Rockstar otherwise states that the difference between the 360 and PS3 versions are “completely negligible.” Additional tidbits include “deep car customization,” “weapon upgrades,” the specific lack of a confirmation for a PC version, and a solid re-confirmation of the September 17th release date.

Finally, a physical map will be included with every game, but the special editions of GTAV will have special maps with “additional information and secrets.”
